Can I have a refund?

If it's 14 or more days before the start of the event, you may request a full refund.

If there are exceptional circumstances, please get in touch, as we may be able to process a refund at our discretion.

Here's a link to our full Refund Policy.

Do I need a partner?

Not at all! Our workshops involve switching partners throughout.

We do request that you remain within your selected 'role' in classes so that an equal balance can be maintained.

Everyone is encouraged to either lead or follow - the roles are not gender based.

What skill level is needed?

Damon and Kelsey are highly accomplished teachers who have assured us they are perfectly fine with teaching to a wide range of skill levels. To get the most out of classes you should have either done Blues dancing before, or be proficient in some other form of partnered dancing.

If you're unsure - reach out! Or enquire about our Blues Lab sessions held by Jukebox Blues.

How do I get to the venue?

Car pooling is generally organised on the Facebook Group for the event.

If you are travelling by train, we may be able to organise a pick-up from Goulburn trainstation. Otherwise, it is a 20 minute walk.

If you are coming by car and have spare space, please consider offering your vehicle for car pooling! It's a great way to give back to community.

There is plenty of parking at the venue - just make sure the driveways are kept free for staff.

If you are an international traveller for this event, we would love to hear from you so we can assist organising travel.

What are the accomodation and amenities like?

Several of our ticketing options involves accomodation at the venue itself. A continental breakfast inclusive of toast, cereal, and tea/coffee is included in this.

You are also more than welcome to book accomodation in Goulburn and the surrounds and travel to the venue each day for workshops and/or socials.

If you are bringing snacks, you should label them (unless you intend to share!), anything not labelled outside the reserved fridge(s) is fair game.

Bathrooms are shared and on site.

I want to DJ - how can I?

If you are interested in DJ'ing for the event, please send through your name, availability, and any experience to jukeboxbluessydney@gmail.com.

If you haven't DJ'd before and would like to rack up some experience, you might be interested in doing a set at Jukebox Blues Socials.

How can I get involved?

The easiest way to get involved is to show up and help out - be a friendly face, offer to move chairs, clean messes you see, ask someone you don't know to dance. All of these things help us build and maintain a community.

If you have the capacity or skills for a bigger role, whether that be helping on the door for tickets, or lending a hand in more of the organisational tasks that are needed to get this event running, you might consider formally joining the Jukebox Blues organisation. This means that you have access to show up to meetings and can stay across what the organisation needs at any one time.

Can my kids stay at the venue?

We love your kids! However if they're coming to site, they will need to be supervised at all times.

We recommend staying off site if you are travelling as a family with kids, as the event can go quite late and contains loud music.

Which ticket(s) should I buy?

There are no 'full pass' tickets to Railhouse Blues because each portion of the event has a different capacity and we want to give you - the attendee - the greatest possible flexibility in purchasing, without having 50 different ticket types.

The 'party pass' is the main event ticket, with that you may be on-site for the entire duration of the event, though without the workshop ticket you will need to be elsewhere than the main dance hall when workshops are running.

Workshops are an add-on to the party pass and give you the full two days of workshops with Damon and Kelsey.

Accomodation is an add-on to the party pass - if you purchase accomodation without buying a party pass we will get in touch with you to enquire about your attendance and may have to refund the accomodation ticket. They need not be purchased in the same transaction as long as the attendee name matches on the tickets.

A dorm bed is a single bed for one person for three nights in a room of four people. We will be arranging the rooms, and you will have an opportunity to request to share with other people by name which we will facilitate if we can.

The twin and double rooms are purchased as a whole room for two people for three nights. So a purchase of one room and two social passes is entirely valid. Only people with a party pass and staff are allowed to sleep on-site.

Camping is allowed on site for half the price of a dorm bed (because you're still using the facilities). Please send any camping requests to jukeboxbluessydney@gmail.com.
